Shipping policy
DOMESTIC:
SHIPPING DAYS Orders ship on Tuesdays and Fridays of every week, which allows us to limit our exposure to public places. This will remain in place until the pandemic ends. Once it ends, we will return to shipping every weekday. we do not ship on weekends or holidays.
SERVICES USED We use USPS First Class Insured for all orders weighing less than (1) lb. In most cases, transit times for First Class packages are exactly the same as they are for Priority Mail. In some cases, the transit time for First Class adds (1) day, at most. Using First Class allows us to keep the flat shipping fee lower for our customers. Heavier items will ship USPS Priority Mail (3-5) business days or UPS Ground (up to 5 business days).
TRACKING SHIPMENTS When a label is printed, a tracking number is automatically entered into the order's info in our system. An automated email with this information is sent immediately to the email address used to place the order. Shipments can also be tracked via logging into your account on our website.
The tracking information on usps.com is the same info we see; America's Dog Apparel is not privy to additional information regarding the shipment. If your shipment is showing as not scanned in yet, please give it a few days. Since the pandemic began, shippers are not updating all shipments as being accepted even a few days after being scanned at the shipper's facility. You may even see a lack of tracking updates until the shipment has been delivered. However, we have not had any lost packages. We're hoping this spotty tracking issue resolves once shippers are operating with full staffing again.
SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS If you have received an item that was damaged during transit, please send clear photos of the damaged packaging, as well as the item(s) to: info@americasdogapparel.com. We will issue a replacement and handle the insurance claim.
LOST PACKAGE CLAIMS All shippers require a 30 day wait before packages can be declared officially lost. After 30 days, if tracking still shows no updates, we will issue a replacement and we will handle the insurance claim.
MAIL THEFT If tracking shows the package was but you have not received it yet, this does not qualify for a lost package claim. This is called package theft and America's Dog Apparel and the carrier are no responsible for stolen mail. If you live in a building with an unsecured mail area, if your front door, stoop, porch or deck is on a busy street, or your neighborhood has issues with theft, please enter a more secure shipping address when you order.
INTERNATIONAL:
All international orders ship via USPS First Class International Insured. Once the package clears customs, it is intercepted by that country's postal carrier and USPS tracking system is not updated again until the package is delivered. If your order has cleared your country's customs and you need more information, please contact your local post office, as they may have access to more information. We do not have access to any other country's postal tracking information.
